Personalised Learning Pathways (PLP)

PLPs are an effective tool for increasing Aboriginal student engagement. They have the potential to support improved learning outcomes and educational aspirations when they are developed in genuine partnership with Aboriginal students, their parents or carers and teachers. Personalised Learning Pathways are an active process. They are developed in a consultation process between the student, parents/carers and teachers, to identify, organise and apply personal approaches to learning and engagement.  PLP Document

Reconciliation Week

Reconciliation Week is held May 27th - June 3rd each year. Students and teachers will participate in a range of activities to recognise this special week for our whole community.

Reconciliation Activities 2020

As part of Reconciliation Week activities, Yulara and Amaroo enjoyed learning on country. We had yarning circles to talk about local area dreaming stories, sitting within sight of the landscapes mentioned in the stories. We also played a rolling game called Apwerte from the Eastern Arrerente nation of central Australia. Yulara also discussed how forms of visual coding may have been used throughout history to assist with messages including travel directions.  See the gallery for photos.
