Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.

The P&C helps strengthen the connection between families and the school by:

• Raising funds for resources, equipment, and projects that benefit students.
• Organising events that bring our school community together, such as discos, fetes, and fundraisers.
• Sharing parent perspectives and working in partnership with school staff.
• Supporting student learning and wellbeing through volunteering and initiatives.
• Spending our funds on projects that benefit our students.

The P&C also manages our school canteen and uniform shop.

P&C meetings

Meetings are held twice each term, usually in Weeks 4 and 8. Meetings take place at Wests Illawarra, starting at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to come along — it’s a great way to stay informed, share ideas, and get involved in school life. Updated information about meetings is found in the fortnightly school newsletter.

Join our P&C

It’s easy to become a member of the P&C!

Just pay a small membership fee ($1), and provide some simple details to our committee. It’s easy to do through our QR code or link. We will receive your key details (email and phone number) with the payment. All done!

You can also register at a meeting.

Members are emailed our minutes after the meeting, invited to contribute to the agenda, and entitled to vote on spending.

Anyone can attend a meeting and contribute to the discussion without becoming a member.
